Shete Boka National Park
Curacao · Bandabou · 15 m
Description
Shete Boka is the windward coast of Curaçao made into a park, ten kilometres of undercut limestone where the Atlantic swell drives into inlets and comes back out as spray. Boka Tabla is a cave you walk down into and stand inside while waves break under the roof, and Boka Pistol throws a jet straight up through a hole in the rock when the sets are running. Three species of sea turtle nest on the pocket beaches between the inlets, and there is no swimming anywhere along this coast.
