Christoffel National Park
Curacao · Bandabou · 200 m
Description
Christoffel National Park takes in the northwest corner of Curaçao and is built around Mount Christoffel, at three hundred and seventy five metres the highest point on the island and a steep scramble over bare rock at the top. The climb is done at first light because there is no shade and the trail closes by mid-morning. Below it the park is dry forest and cactus crossed by four driving routes, with white-tailed deer, wild orchids after rain and the Savonet plantation house holding the museum of the island's slavery history.
