Description
Victoria on Mahé is the capital of the Seychelles and one of the smallest capitals in the world, a low town of a few streets between the harbour and steep green hills that almost every visitor passes through on the way somewhere else. A miniature replica of the Little Ben clock tower stands at the main junction. The Sir Selwyn Selwyn-Clarke market sells fish, fruit and vanilla under an iron roof, and a Hindu temple, a mosque and a cathedral stand within a few hundred metres of each other.
