Description
Valle Nevado is a high-altitude ski resort in the Chilean Andes, less than two hours from Santiago. Set at elevations above 3,000 metres, the mountain resort is known for its reliable snow conditions, wide-open slopes and spectacular Andean scenery. Together with the neighbouring ski areas of La Parva and El Colorado, it forms one of the largest interconnected ski domains in South America. The varied terrain caters to beginners and experienced skiers alike, while heli-skiing provides access to untouched high-mountain terrain. Thanks to the Southern Hemisphere's reversed seasons, Valle Nevado attracts winter sports enthusiasts from around the world between June and October, offering skiing during the Northern Hemisphere's summer. Outside the ski season, hiking, mountain biking and panoramic mountain landscapes make the resort a popular destination year-round.
