Description
Tsingy de Bemaraha (Parc national des Tsingy de Bemaraha) in western Madagascar is a spectacular karst landscape and part of the UNESCO World Heritage site Andrefana Dry Forests. The region is renowned for its extraordinary tsingy, a labyrinth of razor-sharp limestone pinnacles, deep gorges, and rock formations rising up to 100 meters high. Dry forests among the pinnacles shelter a remarkable variety of rare and endemic wildlife, including lemurs and chameleons. The Grand Tsingy offers challenging routes through the rugged rock labyrinth, while the Petit Tsingy provides an easier introduction to this otherworldly landscape. Its remote setting and exceptional biodiversity make Bemaraha one of Madagascar’s most remarkable natural destinations.
