Description

Nosy Be is a tropical island off Madagascar’s northwest coast and one of the country’s best-known beach destinations. The volcanic island is renowned for its Ylang-Ylang plantations, crater lakes, white-sand beaches, and lush landscapes. Rising 329 meters above sea level, Mont Passot offers sweeping views across the island and its chain of crater lakes. Lokobe National Park protects some of Nosy Be’s last remaining primary forest, home to Black Lemurs, chameleons, and nocturnal lemurs. Nearby Nosy Komba is known for its close encounters with Black Lemurs. Day trips also reach Nosy Iranja’s striking sandbank and Nosy Tanikely’s protected coral reefs and sea turtles.
