Description
Trafalgar Falls is the most visited waterfall on Dominica and the easiest of the island's set pieces to reach, twenty minutes inland from Roseau up the Roseau valley. Two falls drop side by side into the same basin and the islanders call them Father and Mother, the taller one on the left and the broader on the right. A viewing platform sits ten minutes along a paved path from the visitor centre. Scrambling over the boulders to the pools below takes longer and is genuinely slippery. Hot sulphur water seeps into the rocks beside the cold plunge pool.
