Description
Calibishie is a village strung along the north coast where the shoreline finally turns gentle, with a reef lying offshore that flattens the Atlantic into a series of shallow pools. Red Rocks just east of the village is a sheet of eroded ochre sandstone standing out over the sea and is the most photographed spot on this coast. Batibou Bay a little further along is one of the few genuine sand beaches on an island that is mostly cliff and boulder. Guadeloupe is visible across the channel on a clear day.
