Tokeh

Tokeh is where the peninsula's beach resorts have concentrated, a long pale shore backed by palms and low hotel buildings rather than the bars of Lakka. It is the usual choice for a wedding or a weekend that wants a proper bed and a decent restaurant with a wine list rather than a mat on the sand. The beach itself is wide and clean, with gentler water than the surf coast further south. A short boat ride reaches the offshore islands. Development here has been steady rather than sudden and shows no sign of stopping.
