Short description of Outamba-Kilimi
Outamba-Kilimi is really the one place left in the whole country where elephants can still be found in anything like open country, gathering at the rivers as the dry season slowly pulls the water back. Hippos hold their pools along the Little Scarcies and chimpanzees keep to the forest blocks between the grassland. The park has almost no visitor infrastructure, which is part of why the animals have held on here. Tracks that carry a vehicle through the dry months turn to deep mud and close the whole park for most of the wet season.
