The Ring of Kerry is one of Ireland’s most famous scenic drives, winding for around 179 kilometres around the Iveragh Peninsula. The route showcases a spectacular variety of mountains, lakes, rugged coastlines, sandy beaches and traditional villages. Highlights include Killarney National Park, Moll’s Gap, Torc Waterfall and the Gap of Dunloe, along with sweeping views across the Atlantic. Detours lead to the Skellig Ring, Portmagee and Valentia Island, with the famous Skellig Islands lying just off the coast. The Ring of Kerry combines the wild beauty of southwest Ireland with picturesque coastal villages and is regarded as one of the country’s most impressive scenic routes.
