The Cliffs of Moher are among Ireland’s most spectacular natural attractions, defining the rugged Atlantic coast of County Clare. Stretching for almost 14 kilometers, the cliffs rise up to 214 meters above the Atlantic Ocean, offering sweeping views across the sea, coastline, and, on clear days, as far as the Aran Islands. The millions-of-years-old rock formations form part of the Burren and Cliffs of Moher UNESCO Global Geopark and provide an important breeding habitat for seabirds such as puffins, guillemots, and razorbills. Wind, open horizons, and ever-changing light give the cliffs a striking atmosphere and make them one of the most distinctive landscapes along Ireland’s western coast.
