Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands

Providenciales

Turks and Caicos Islands · 5 m

Description

Providenciales carries almost all the tourism of the Turks and Caicos, and the reason is Grace Bay, twenty kilometres of pale sand behind a barrier reef that regularly takes first place in rankings of the world's beaches. The reef keeps the water flat and clear and the resorts sit in a low line along the shore. Chalk Sound is a lagoon of impossible turquoise dotted with rocky islets on the south-west side. Boats leave for Little Water Cay, where rock iguanas live, and for the wall dives off Northwest Point. Its airport is the only one in the country taking long-haul flights.
