Middle Caicos
Turks and Caicos Islands Β· 8 m
Description
Middle Caicos is the largest island of the group and has around two hundred people on it, reached by the causeway from North Caicos. Mudjin Harbour is what brings visitors, a bay where limestone cliffs drop to a white beach with the wooded stack of Dragon Cay standing offshore and surf breaking around it, and a staircase leads down through a cave onto the sand. The Conch Bar Caves are the largest above-water cave system in the Bahamian archipelago, with bats and Lucayan artefacts inside. The Crossing Place Trail follows the old coastal path. The road ends at Lorimers in the east.
