Pinney’s Beach
Saint Kitts and Nevis · Nevis · 5 m
Description
Pinney’s Beach is the long west facing strand of Nevis, six kilometres of sand under coconut palms with the whole cone of Nevis Peak standing behind it. The Four Seasons occupies the middle of it and is most of the island’s formal tourism, but the north end stays open and holds Sunshine’s, a plywood shack painted in bright colours that sells a rum drink strong enough to have become the reason a lot of people cross from St. Kitts. Oualie Bay further north is the calmer water and the base for diving and the water taxi.
