Frigate Bay
Saint Kitts and Nevis · Saint Kitts · 10 m
Description
Frigate Bay is the narrowest point of St. Kitts, an isthmus where the Atlantic and the Caribbean are a few hundred metres apart and the island’s resorts, golf course and casino all sit. The Caribbean side is the calm one and holds the sand, and the row of timber beach bars along it, known simply as the “Strip”, is where St. Kitts goes out at night. The Atlantic side is rough and windy and mostly walked rather than swum. Everything is fifteen minutes from Basseterre and the airport, which is why it fills first.
