Description
Dieppe Bay is a quiet village on the windward end of St. Kitts, where the ring road turns the corner of the island and the sand goes black. It is the only sheltered swimming on this coast, held in by a reef, and the Black Rocks a little further along are lava tongues from Mount Liamuiga frozen where they met the sea. The volcano itself rises straight behind the village and the trail to its crater rim starts from the estates above Belmont, a hard four hour climb through rainforest with the summit usually in cloud.
