Palm Beach
Aruba · Noord · 2 m
Description
Palm Beach is the high-rise strip, three kilometres of sand backed by the big chain hotels, and it is where most of Aruba's stayover visitors actually sleep. Two piers run out from the beach with bars on the end, catamarans leave all afternoon for sunset cruises and for the Antilla, a scuttled German freighter lying in shallow water that is the best known wreck snorkel in the Caribbean. Behind the hotels the strip carries casinos, malls and an open-air dining street, and it stays busy long after dark.
