Description
Casibari is a mound of tonalite boulders in the middle of Aruba, piled across some thirty thousand square metres with single blocks standing twenty metres high. Steps and a squeeze between two rocks lead to the top, where the whole island is laid out from coast to coast. The same stone breaks the surface again at Ayo a few kilometres east, where the Arawak left drawings on the sheltered faces. Between the two rises Hooiberg, a cone with a stairway to its summit. Divi-divi trees and columnar cactus grow out of the cracks.
