Nuweiba (نويبع) is a tranquil coastal town on the Gulf of Aqaba in the eastern Sinai Peninsula, known for its laid-back atmosphere and unspoiled coastal scenery. Small, often Bedouin-run beach camps line the shore, offering a relaxed alternative to the larger resort destinations in the region. The clear waters and fringing reefs make Nuweiba a popular destination for snorkeling and diving. Behind the coast, the rugged mountains of Sinai shape the landscape, while the shoreline offers wide views across the gulf toward Saudi Arabia. The port also provides a ferry connection to Aqaba in Jordan, linking Egypt with the Levant.
