Description
Levera is the northern tip of Grenada, where the Atlantic meets the Caribbean in a line of broken water off the point and the Grenadines start as a row of low green humps on the horizon. The national park covers a mangrove pond, a sand beach and the islands offshore, and between March and July leatherback turtles come up that beach at night to nest, which is what most visitors make the drive for. Sauteurs sits just to the west, on the cliff the last Kalinago of the island jumped from in 1651.
