Grand Anse, Grenada

Grand Anse

Grenada · Saint George · 5 m

Description

Grand Anse is the three kilometre beach immediately south of the capital and the place almost every visitor to Grenada actually sleeps. The sand is pale and the shelf shallow, the bay faces west so the sunsets land straight down it, and the whole strip is close enough to St. George’s that the water taxi is a reasonable way into town. Behind the beach are the hotels, the dive shops and the vendors’ craft market. The peninsula further south holds quieter coves at Morne Rouge and the beaches and bars around Lance aux Epines.
