Description
Khulna is the third city of Bangladesh and the place every Sundarbans trip is arranged and boarded, since the launches that work the mangrove leave from its own ghats and from Mongla downstream. The city itself runs on shrimp, jute and the shipyard, and it is not a sight. What it is instead is the one bed and the one booking office within reach of two very large things, the largest mangrove forest on earth to the south and the mosque city of Bagerhat an hour east. The Rupsha bridge crosses the river beside the town.
