Description
Doolin is a small coastal village in County Clare and one of Ireland’s best-known strongholds of traditional music. The village is renowned for its lively pub sessions, where traditional Irish music remains an integral part of local life. Boats depart from Doolin Pier for the Aran Islands and along the Cliffs of Moher, offering spectacular views of the Atlantic coastline from the water. Nearby Doolin Cave is home to the Great Stalactite, a 7.3-metre-long free-hanging stalactite and one of Europe’s most notable formations of its kind. Located on the western edge of the Burren and Cliffs of Moher UNESCO Global Geopark, Doolin is also the starting point for the scenic Cliffs of Moher Coastal Walk, which connects the village with the famous cliffs through dramatic coastal scenery.
