Chișinău, Moldova

Chișinău

Moldova · 85 m

Description

Chișinău is the capital of Moldova and where essentially every visitor to one of the least visited countries in Europe begins. The centre was rebuilt after the war on a grid of wide boulevards under lime trees, and the city has more park than most of its size, with a chain of lakes running through the middle. A triumphal arch, a cathedral and the government building face each other across the main square. What people actually come for is usually underground and outside the city, in the wine cellars.
