Short description of Bom Bom

A wooden footbridge a couple of hundred metres long runs out to the islet of Bom Bom off the north coast, with a beach on either side of it and rainforest hills standing directly behind. The hotel here was the first on the continent certified for biosphere responsible tourism and is the operational centre for everything visitors do on the island, the diving, the fishing, the boat trips down the wild west coast and the turtle programme on the beaches. The reefs off this shore are the best in the country and the forest behind holds birds found nowhere else.
