Description
Amboseli National Park lies in southern Kenya at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain, and is one of East Africa’s most striking landscapes. The park is renowned for its large elephant herds and exceptionally long-tusked elephants, while the snow-capped Kilimanjaro provides an iconic backdrop. Green wetlands such as Enkongo Narok and Longinye create a striking contrast to the dry savannah, attracting abundant wildlife and birdlife. Observation Hill offers sweeping views across the park and toward the mountain. The wider Amboseli ecosystem is also shaped by Maasai communities and their traditional pastoral way of life.
