Description
Sark is a plateau of cliffs about five kilometres long on which cars are not allowed, so transport is by bicycle, tractor or horse drawn carriage. La Coupée, a narrow ridge of rock with a long drop on either side, carries the only path across to Little Sark and is the island's defining sight. La Seigneurie Gardens surround the house of the seigneur behind high walls, and paths lead down to the Venus Pool, Port du Moulin and the Window in the Rock. With no street lighting anywhere, Sark became the first designated dark sky island, and its night sky is the other great draw.
