Rendezvous Bay, Anguilla

Rendezvous Bay

Anguilla · Anguilla · 4 m

Description

Rendezvous Bay curves for two and a half kilometres along the south coast and is the longest beach on Anguilla, so empty in stretches that footprints are an event. It faces Saint Martin across a channel of six kilometres, and the green hills of the neighbouring island fill the horizon all day. The water is shallow and warm with almost no surf, which makes it the swimming beach of the island. A handful of low resorts and beach bars sit behind the sand, and the rest is sea grape and salt scrub. Blowing Point and the ferry are five minutes east.
