Meads Bay
Anguilla · Anguilla · 5 m
Description
Meads Bay is the resort coast of Anguilla, a kilometre of pale sand on the sheltered western end of the island where the largest hotels and the best restaurants sit almost side by side. Anguilla built its reputation on this stretch, selling quiet luxury rather than volume, so the beach stays uncrowded even in high season and no cruise ship has ever unloaded onto it. Barnes Bay and Long Bay lie over the headlands either side. The swimming is calm, and the sunsets face open water with nothing between here and Puerto Rico. The airport at The Valley is fifteen minutes away.
