Ourika Valley
Morocco · Marrakech-Safi · 900 m
Description
The Ourika Valley (وادي أوريكا) is one of the most popular destinations near Marrakech and a lush retreat in the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains. Along the Ourika River, Amazigh villages, terraced fields, orchards, and green mountain slopes shape the scenic landscape. The valley is known for its traditional villages, dramatic mountain scenery, and the waterfalls near Setti Fatma, reached by sometimes steep hiking trails. Just over an hour from Marrakech, the Ourika Valley offers a striking contrast to the bustle of Morocco’s famous Red City.
