Obergurgl-Hochgurgl
Austria · Tyrol · 1930 m
Description
Obergurgl-Hochgurgl is located at the head of the Ötztal Valley and ranks among Austria's highest-altitude ski resorts. Thanks to its elevation between approximately 1,800 and 3,030 metres, it is one of the most snow-reliable ski areas in the Alps, renowned for its impeccably groomed slopes, modern lift system, and peaceful, upscale atmosphere. A spectacular gondola links Obergurgl and Hochgurgl across a deep mountain gorge, creating one of the highest lift connections in the Alps. In summer, the region becomes a popular destination for hiking and mountaineering, offering breathtaking alpine scenery of glaciers, peaks exceeding 3,000 metres, and the rugged landscapes of the Ötztal Alps.
