Description
Kribi is the beach town of Cameroon, a stretch of white sand and coconut palms three hours south of Douala where the country goes on holiday. Eight kilometres down the coast the Lobé river reaches the sea and falls straight into the surf over a rock ledge, one of very few waterfalls anywhere that empty into the ocean. Pirogues run upriver from the falls to Bagyeli settlements in the forest. The beaches north and south of town are wide and lined with small hotels, and the grilled prawns of Kribi are known across the country.
