Description
Kaprun is a traditional holiday resort at the foot of the Kitzsteinhorn in the Hohe Tauern mountains and a versatile destination for outdoor activities, nature and relaxation. The village is best known for its glacier ski area with a particularly long winter season, the Gipfelwelt 3000 summit world with spectacular Alpine panoramas, and the impressive Kaprun high-mountain reservoirs built in the 1950s for hydropower generation.
