Description
Kaeng Krachan (แก่งกระจาน) is Thailand’s largest national park and a vast natural area of dense rainforest, mountain ridges, and exceptional biodiversity. The park forms part of the Kaeng Krachan Forest Complex, which was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2021. Its forests are home to wild elephants, leopards, gibbons, and numerous rare bird species. The park is especially known for the views from Phanoen Thung, where a striking sea of mist can blanket the valleys in the morning, and for Pa La-U Waterfall with its many cascades. Around Ban Krang Camp, Kaeng Krachan is also a popular destination for birdwatchers and wildlife photographers.
