Description
Phang Nga (พังงา) is the tranquil capital of the province of the same name on the Andaman Coast in southern Thailand and the gateway to the spectacular Phang Nga Bay. The region is known for its striking limestone cliffs, emerald-green waters, mangrove forests, hidden lagoons, and sea caves. Among the most famous attractions are the famous James Bond Island with its striking Khao Ta Pu rock formation, as well as the Muslim fishing village of Koh Panyee, built on stilts. Away from the coast, unspoiled nature, national parks, waterfalls, and authentic provincial life captivate visitors. Phang Nga is also an ideal starting point for excursions to Khao Lak, Phuket, and the Similan Islands, combining impressive natural experiences with a relaxed atmosphere.
