Description
Half Moon Bay is a crescent of pale sand on the exposed east coast and is generally held to be the finest beach on Antigua. A reef closes most of the bay mouth, so the southern end is sheltered enough to snorkel while the open northern end takes Atlantic swell and gets used for bodyboarding. It is a national park with no hotel on it, which on an island of this size is unusual. The road out passes Betty's Hope, the sugar estate where the Codrington family ran Antigua for two centuries.
