Description
The Erin-Ijesha falls, known locally as “Olumirin”, drop through rainforest in seven distinct stages, each with its own pool. Visitors climb from one level to the next on steps cut into the rock and on ladders bolted to the wall, and the higher stages thin out to almost nobody. A village sits at the top of the seventh level with views back over the forest canopy. The water is cold and clear and swimming is allowed in the lower pools. The falls are among the most visited natural sites in south western Nigeria.
