Eisenstadt is the charming capital of Austria's Burgenland province and a cultural center rich in history. The city is closely associated with the Esterházy princely family and the composer Joseph Haydn. It is best known for the magnificent Esterházy Palace with its celebrated Haydn Hall, the Baroque Bergkirche housing Haydn's mausoleum, and its historic Jewish Quarter.
