Description
The Dadès Gorge (وادي دادس) in southern Morocco is one of the country’s most impressive landscapes, stretching between the High Atlas and the Jbel Saghro massif. The region is known for its deeply carved gorges, red and ochre rock formations, lush oases, and traditional earthen villages along the Dadès River. Among its most distinctive sights are the unusual rock formations known as the “Monkey Fingers” near Tamellalt and the spectacular mountain road winding through a series of dramatic hairpin bends. With its kasbahs, fertile river valleys, and numerous hiking opportunities, the Dadès region combines striking natural scenery with the traditional culture of southern Morocco.
