Description
Brasília is the visionary capital of Brazil and a remarkable center of modern architecture and urban planning. Inaugurated in 1960, the city was built in the heart of the Cerrado savanna based on Lúcio Costa’s urban plan and Oscar Niemeyer’s iconic buildings. Brasília is renowned for its monumental axes, the Praça dos Três Poderes, the Palácio da Alvorada, the National Congress and the striking Cathedral of Brasília.
