Río San Juan

The Río San Juan is the only outlet of Lake Nicaragua and one of Central America's most remarkable river landscapes. On its journey to the Caribbean, it winds through dense tropical rainforest, including the biodiverse Indio-Maíz Biosphere Reserve, and forms much of the natural border between Nicaragua and Costa Rica.
