Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve (Reserva Nacional Pacaya Samiria) is Peru's largest protected area and one of the Amazon's most remarkable natural treasures. Covering more than two million hectares between the Marañón and Ucayali rivers, it is renowned for its mirror-like blackwater channels and extraordinary biodiversity, including pink river dolphins, giant otters, macaws, monkeys, anacondas, and countless other wildlife species. Visitors explore the reserve by boat or canoe, experiencing the pristine wilderness of the Peruvian rainforest.
