Description
Nazca is a small desert town in southern Peru, renowned worldwide for the mysterious Nazca Lines, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Created by the Nazca culture more than 1,500 years ago, these enormous geoglyphs depict animals, plants, and geometric shapes and can only be fully appreciated from the air due to their immense scale. Beyond the famous lines, the ceremonial center of Cahuachi, the Chauchilla Cemetery with its remarkably well-preserved mummies, and the historic Puquios, an ancient aqueduct system that is still partially in use today, rank among the region's most important attractions.
