Description
Puno is the capital of Peru's Puno Region and the cultural heart of the Altiplano. Situated on the shores of Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world, the city is renowned for its vibrant folklore, colorful festivals, and enduring Andean traditions. From Puno, visitors can explore the famous floating Uros Reed Islands as well as the islands of Taquile and Amantaní, known for their traditional communities, centuries-old weaving heritage, and spectacular lake scenery.
