Mkhaya Game Reserve, Eswatini

Mkhaya Game Reserve

Eswatini · Lubombo · 150 m

Description

Mkhaya Game Reserve is one of Eswatini’s most exclusive safari destinations, renowned for its rhino populations and guided walking encounters. Founded in 1979, the private reserve was originally established to protect the country’s rare Nguni cattle and now shelters black and white rhinos, buffalo, sable antelope, tsessebe and Livingstone’s eland. Giraffes, leopards, hyenas and roan antelope can also be encountered. Guided game drives and bush walks offer close-up views of wildlife as well as insights into the smaller details of the ecosystem. Visitor numbers are deliberately limited, and access is restricted to organised guided tours, preserving Mkhaya’s secluded and authentic wilderness character.
