Malolotja Nature Reserve

Description

Malolotja Nature Reserve is a vast mountain wilderness in northwestern Eswatini, covering around 18,000 hectares of pristine Highveld landscape. The reserve is characterized by grassy uplands, deep valleys, wooded gorges and the 89-metre Malolotja Falls, the highest waterfall in the country. Numerous hiking trails wind through the varied terrain, while a canopy tour with ziplines and a suspension bridge offers spectacular views of the surrounding gorges. With more than 280 recorded bird species, including the rare blue swallow, as well as zebras, antelope and other wildlife, Malolotja is one of Eswatini’s most important destinations for hiking and nature experiences. Its proximity to Mbabane also makes it ideal for day trips.
