Description
Hingol is the largest national park in Pakistan, a stretch of eroded Makran coast where the desert drops to the Arabian Sea and the Coastal Highway runs through the middle of it three hours west of Karachi. Wind and rain have cut the sandstone into shapes the road has named, the Princess of Hope standing alone on a slope and the Sphinx of Balochistan facing the sea. Kund Malir is a curve of pale sand with nothing built on it. Chandragup is an active mud volcano climbed by Hindu pilgrims on the way to the Hinglaj Mata temple.
