Description
De Hoge Veluwe (Nationaal Park De Hoge Veluwe) is one of the largest national parks in the Netherlands, preserving an extraordinary landscape of forests, heathlands and shifting sand dunes. Its vast, seemingly untouched scenery forms a striking contrast to the country’s densely populated and cultivated lowlands. A distinctive feature is the network of free White Bicycles, introduced in 1974 and available for exploring the park’s many trails. At its heart, the Kröller-Müller Museum houses the world’s second-largest collection of works by Vincent van Gogh, alongside a renowned sculpture garden. Red deer, wild boar and mouflon roam the landscape, while the Jachthuis Sint Hubertus highlights its unique blend of nature, art and architecture.
