Description
Chobe National Park is one of Botswana’s most renowned wildlife areas and is particularly famous for its large elephant herds. During the dry season, numerous animals gather along the Chobe River, including elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and Cape buffalo. Boat safaris offer an impressive perspective on the wildlife, while game drives explore the landscapes from land. In the southwestern part of the park, the Savuti region is known for its unpredictable watercourse and abundant populations of lions and hyenas. Chobe combines riverine landscapes, open savannas, and seasonal wetlands, making it one of Botswana’s most diverse and rewarding safari destinations.
